My Riverbed 03:58
Walkin' down to the river To see my dreamt up friends They're the only ones who listen To what I have to say. Walkin' down to the river To where that river ends We all know what it's like To be the last ones there And so I lie here waiting for every word to fill my head And so I'm stuck here debating with no one here but me And my river bed And so I lie here waiting for every word to fill my head And so I'm stuck here debating with no one here but me And my river bed
2.
In Spirals 03:56
Heed my stunted words this time Don't wash out the voice in my mind Oh... Why do you treat me so (I am so) Feeling like taking this apart My secrets were all lies Why do you treat me so? (I am so) Hoping to reconcile my mind Spilling from the corners of my eyes Why do you treat me so (I am so) Why do you treat me so... (I am so)
3.
This paranoid confession Is void of admission And falls on deaf ears This alternate dimension The one we both mentioned In our golden years It never reached perfection It smashed in pieces on the floor You smile in the mirror To practice your convictions To tell 'em that you're fine In terror and in silence In innocence and violence All part of your design It never came out perfect It always sounded fine
4.
So when the cracks claim your castle When the tide will rise and swallow us Just know I meant to speak But speaking can be dangerous And keeping silence can be a curse But it's worth it in the end Cut yourself a piece of sky Help yourself to my demise again Bleeding from an open wound That you keep hidden from the room again Jealous eyes steal awkward glances Futile looks keep us apart They are coming They are coming for us They are calling But out names are the aching wind The falling rain the scent of ending It's terrible and condescending To think the earth knows more than we do They slip between the walls we built Into the fire we cast our guilt And let it burn away They are coming They are coming for us They are silent And we know how to build our shelters strong
